Simon Trewin’s book reviews…

‘Tiny Acts of Rebellion: 97 Almost-Legal Ways To Stick It To The Man’ by Rich Fulcher (O’Mara Books)

Let’s face it, who has the time or inclination to topple a government these days? Never fear, The Mighty Boosh’s Rich Fulcher will show you hundreds of devilish ways to revolt against the tedium of everyday life. Whether it’s making rude gestures to a hotel clerk under the desk or making your own Do Not Disturb sign that says ‘Come In If You Like Swordplay’ , Rich Fulcher’s inventive collection will allow you to unleash your rebellious side without getting arrested. This is a genuinely witty and laugh-out-loud book and would make both great TV and lawyers nervous.

TAR reviewed by a toddler

Posted on 18 December 2009 by Mastermind

Our tiny book of rebellions was reviewed by a tiny reviewer. A toddler to be exact. We like most of what he had to say, minus his flippant comment about the Fantastic Mr. Fox. That’s clearly the moment when this child lost his mind. See the review below or visit thetoddlerreview.co.uk website.

Tiny Acts of Rebellion by Rich Fulcher
£10

I like stories but Daddy said that he can’t read this to me at bedtime because it has lots of naughty words in it. We saw the man that wrote this book at The Mighty Boosh festival once and he made Daddy laugh a lot. He’s also a very good dancer, nearly as good as me. He stole my moves. Daddy has already put this in his bathroom upstairs and since then his poos have taken longer than normal. Daddy says the Secret Santa advice on page 77 is good and he laughed a lot when he read it. I might see if I can swap it for Fantastic Mr Fox because it sounds like it might be even funnier.
